Obituary of Ben RUTTMAN

Ben Ruttman passed away on April 16, 2009 at his home in Lake Havasu City at the age of 102. He was born in Russia on December 15, 1906 to Joseph and Sophie Ruttman.Ben came to the United States at the age of 2. Ben lived most of his life in the Denver area. Tragically, Ben's father died in an industrial accident when Ben was 6 and lived in area orphanages until he was 14. As he grew older, Ben went to work in a bar and eventually became owner of two bars in Denver. Ben moved to Lake Havasu City 36 years ago from Denver and continued to work as a bartender. He was also a past member of the Elks.Ben leaves no surviving family, only the many friends he made along the way. He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine in 1993.According to Ben's wishes, no services will be held.
