Obituary of Ruth Catherine Stapleton

RUTH CATHERINE STAPLETON Ruth Catherine Stapleton, age 81, passed away January 14, 2014 in Kingman, AZ after a long and difficult battle with COPD. She was born August 29, 1932 in Mullan, ID to George and Elena (Mann) Paice. Prior to relocating to Lake Havasu City 17 years ago, Ruth ran the Dixie Dance in Lake City, Arkansas. She was an active Eastern Star member when residing in Butte, MT. she loved the desert, roadrunners, roses and dogs. She spent hours watching Arizona Diamnondbacks baseball; she also enjoyed watching Olympic gymnastics and ice-skating; she avidly read books and solved crossword puzzles. Ruth is survived by her 5 daughters, Zana Stafford of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Zondra Hanni of King City, OR, Zale Hoffenbacker (Dwight) of Portland, OR, Arnetta Johnson (Steve) of LaDera Ranch, CA and Elena Searles of Sanford, ME; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Services will be held in the Chapel of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
