Elizabeth "Bettie" Pfister, 85, passed away on Saturday June 13, 2009.After retiring from her job at the University of Detroit Dental School, Betty successfully operated a competitive swimwear, T-shirt and swimming supply company in the metropolitan Detroit area for many years. Bettie retired to Lake Havasu City, AZ; and was a member of the Lake Havasu Community Choir, St. Michael's United Methodist Church Choir and chime choir, and was a Lay Speaker in the Methodist Church. She was also a member of the London Bridge Republican Women's Club. Bettie enjoyed crossword puzzles, Agatha Christie mysteries, backpacking on Isle Royale, gabbing and knitting. Bettie was dedicated to and will be greatly missed by her children, Kurt, Sandra, Barry Pam; and her grandchildren; great grandchildren and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kurt and grandson, Patrick.A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bettie's name to the American Lung Association, 102 W.McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ. 85003 or American Heart Association, 2929 S. 48th, St., Tempe, AZ. 85282.Thoughts and condolences and be made to her family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com
