Tommy Mack Thompson, 56, passed away on June 14th in Lake Havasu City. He was born on September 23, 1952, in Long Beach, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Lillian Tabor Thompson. Tommy joined the Air Force in 1971, received his pilot's license, and served a total of four years. Upon completing his military duties he enrolled at college in Fort Smith, AR, and received a nursing degree and became a licensed RN. He traveled to all 48 continental states, as well as Canada, Mexico, Vietnam and the Philippines. He loved taking his family on adventures with him, especially on the back of his motorcycle, and also enjoyed a wide array of sports, including skydiving, scuba-diving, flying airplanes, racing dirt bikes, cycling, boating, driving fast cars and especially, working on and riding motorcycles. Tommy is survived by his wife, Brenda; his four children: Andrew of Fayetteville, AR, Lucas of Lake Havasu City, Krissy of Lake Havasu City, and Jill of Keota, OK, and a sister, Cathy Hirt of Tyler, TX. He worked as an O.R. nurse in the Surgical Department at Havasu Regional Medical Center. Tommy was a warm, loving, generous man, and had a great love for life. He was a wonderful father and loving husband who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 19, 2009, 3:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.
