Obituary of Gretchen Robinson-Patton

Gretchen "LaVaughn" Robinson-Patton, 86, passed away on November 6, 2015 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to Joseph "Frank" and Eldora "Leone" La Mar on March 6, 1929 in Monroe City, IN. She was an avid quilter and member of Havasu Quilters. Family and friends cherish the beautiful quilts created for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and weddings. She was a member of Havasu Christian Church and Lake Havasu Baptist Church. LaVaughn demonstrated the gift of hospitality throughout her life. For over twenty years, she organized "The Touch of Grey" ministry for seniors in her church. Her house was a home that was welcoming to all. Gretchen is survived by her sons, Randy Weger of Grand Rapids, MI and Marc Robinson of Northfield, MN; daughters, Debra Weger of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Mavis Hiegel of Flower Mound, TX; sisters, Jo McKinnon of Grand Rapids, MI, Jackie Neff of Deltona, FL and Perrilee Lindsey of Bruceville, IN; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Arthur Patton; parents, Frank and Leone LaMar; first husband, Bill Weger and second husband, Richard Robinson. A Celebration of Life will take place over the Thanksgiving holiday in Indianapolis. Donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu.
