Obituary of Denis MALM

DENIS ROBERT MALMDenis Robert Malm passed away on June 30, 2009 at his home with his family by his side. Denis was born in Wahoo, Nebraska on December 11, 1946 to Robert and Dorothy (Rasmussen) Malm.Denis moved to Lake Havasu City 37 years ago from Nebraska where he attended the University of Nebraska. Upon arriving in Lake Havasu, he became a partner with Wing Wachtel and Don Biehn in the law firm of Wachtel, Biehn & Malm. He was a member of the Mohave County Bar Association serving as Secretary in 1978 and President in 1979, member of the State Bar of Arizona and also served on numerous committees from 1976 to 1998 and was a certified specialist dealing in injury and wrongful death litigation.Aside from his many accomplishments and rigorous work schedule, Denis was an avid golfer, enjoyed hunting and was a licensed fishing guide and several years ago he purchased a 43 foot motor home and took to the open road, traveling around the country. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a licensed pilot. He also had a knack for gardening, growing his own vegetables.Denis is survived by his wife of 5 years, Karen Malm; sons Brian Thomas Malm of Maricopa, Arizona, John Michael Malm of Las Vegas, Nevada, Glen Earl Malm of Tempe, Arizona and Michael E. Harris of Parker, Arizona; daughters Kellie Tanner-Malm of Lake Havasu City, Natasha Elizabeth Malm of Peoria, Arizona; brothers John Malm of Gregory, South Dakota, Charles Malm of Wahoo, Nebraska, Andrew Malm of Plymouth, Michigan; sisters Eileen Pinkerton of Billings, Montana, Loretta Bendz of Bozeman, Montana, Mary Malm of Denver, Colorado, Margaret Malm of Denver, Colorado and Elizabeth Peterson of Salt Lake City, Utah; as well as his grandchildren Mira, Dechen, Diego, Ayissa, Gavin, Kayla and Karley.
