HERMAN NOBLE WATTSJune 5, 1930 - July 14, 2009Herman Noble Watts passed away July 14, 2009 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 79 following a long illness. He was born on June 5, 1930 in Elk, WA to Ivan and Lucinda (Osborn) Watts.Herman served in the United States Navy during the Korean War before marrying his best friend, Betty Lou Zieske, in Spokane, WA on July 2, 1955. Together they raised three beautiful children in Washington and Alaska before making Lake Havasu their home ten years ago following retirement in Spokane. He worked for the Great Northern Railroad in Washington for 18 years and as an electrician for N.O.A.A. in Anchorage, Alaska for 19 years.Herman was a true outdoorsman as well as a proud husband and father. He loved flying family and friends through the wilderness and mountain ranges of Alaska, which he considered his home. Hunting, fishing and exploring still serve as cherished memories to his family and those many good friends who experienced his love for the outdoors.Herman leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Betty Lou Watts of Lake Havasu City, AZ; their three children include a son, Charles and twin daughters, Betty and Bonnie. Six adult grandchildren loved to be with him whenever they had the opportunity. He was loved in life and will be fondly remembered and missed by all.He was preceded in death by his parents; only sister, Hazel Higley and granddaughter, Nichole Watts.A small family celebration of Herman's life has been arranged. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Herman's name to the Heart Association of Havasu, PO Box 1410, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405 or the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Ste. 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
