Obituary of John SCIBERRAS

John Anthony Sciberras passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2009 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 50. He was born on June 27, 1959 in Astoria, NY to Achille and Maria (Tenebruso) Sciberras.John moved to Lake Havasu City five years ago from Burbank, CA where he worked for the City of Los Angeles for 20 years as an inspector. John had a love for music, playing and singing in his band. He also enjoyed fishing, golf and boxing. But his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was very involved in coaching his girls in softball and soccer and enjoyed watching them play.John is survived by his mother, Marie Sciberras; daughters, Ashley, Melyssa and Makayla; step-daughter, Amanda Miliaresis and sister, Annemarie Mandap, all of Lake Havasu City. He was preceded in death by his father, Achille; sister, Carol Schaub and grandparents, Carmine and Vincenzina Tenebruso and John and Carmellina Sciberras.A visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel with a Rosary to be said at 7:00 PM during the visitation. Funeral mass will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2009, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.
