Donald Thomas Holt passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in Lake Havasu City, AZ; at the age of 74. He was born on June 25, 1935 in Monterey Park, CA; to Horace and Dorothy (Abraham) Holt.Donald enlisted in the United States Navy on September 26, 1952 and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged on June 19, 1956. Donald then began a career as a truck driver. He drove trucks for 43 years, and most recently worked for Conway Western Express in Las Vegas, NV. Donald retired from trucking 10 years ago and moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ.Donald was an accomplished archer, winning the state archery championship in California. He was also an avid golfer and a member of Eagles Aerie #4299 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Donald is survived by his son, Gary Holt and wife Janet of La Mirada, CA; daughters, Laurie Yates of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Kim Burton of Brea, CA; brother Raullie Holt and wife Virginia of Bridgeport, CA; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one on the way.Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at the Palm Memorial Park-Northwest in Las Vegas, NV.Condolences and thoughts can be made to his family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
