Obituary of Joan MARASCO

Joan Mary Marasco passed away September 11, 2009 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 77. She was born to Wesley and Elizabeth (Gerback) Wilkens on May 8, 1932 in Danbury, CT.Joan married her beloved husband, Ralph in 1955 and together they made Lake Havasu City, AZ; their home 4 years ago from Danbury, CT. She worked as a waitress for 50 years and worked for Windmill Diner in Danbury, CT. Joan was an avid keno and bingo player. He nickname was 'Joanie Maroni'.Joan leaves behind her beloved family, sons, Ralph Marasco and Richard Marasco; daughter, JoAnn Cocozza, all of Lake Havasu; brother, John Gerback of Florida; sister, Sharon Arenz of Litchfield, CT; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph John Marasco.A visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary said at 7:00 p.m. Entombment will take place at St. Peter's Chapel and Garden Mausoleum in Danbury, CT.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral & Crematory.
