Bryan BakerSept. 14, 2009Bryan Baker passed away on Sept. 14,2009 at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas, Nev. He was born to Dale and Ina (McCloud) Baker. Following high school, Bryan enlisted in the United States Navy, serving six years and being honorably discharged as a Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class. After his service, Bryan went to work for Northrup, where he helped design the prototype of the Boeing 747. Bryan then moved to Lake Havasu City in 1971 where he went to work for the McCulloch Corporation. Bryan ended a successful career at McCulloch Corporation as a tool and die maker in 1994.Throughout his life, he loved the outdoors; camping, hunting, hiking, and fishing. He entered into several fishing tournaments, placing in some of these tournaments. One of his favorite quotes was, "You can lead me for miles, but you can't push me an inch".Bryan Baker is and will always be a special man in the eyes of his family and friends; faithful husband, loving father, proud grandpa, and an honest friend to everyone. He always gave the best advice and guidance to all that asked him. Bryan will be missed by all.Bryan is survived by his wife of 27 years, Donna; daughter, Sally Meaney and her husband John of Lake Bay, Wash.; sons, David of Belleville, Ill., and Tim of Manhattan, Kan.; five grandchildren, Leia, Rachael, Sarah, Ashley, and Trevor. Bryan is also survived by his mother, Ina Baker; sister, Marilyn Lovelace; brothers, Dwight Baker and Jerry Baker. He is predeceased by his father Dale and two sisters. Close friends are Gary and Susie Wolf, Sandy LaRoche and Dan Campbell, Carlos and Debbie Martin, Bill and Pam Kaufman, his NPG Cable family, and so many others.For those that would like to honor Bryan and help celebrate his life, there will be an informal get-together of friends and family at the London Bridge Resort, Sunset Room on September 19, 2009 from 12 to 4 p.m. Please park in the upper parking lot off of McCulloch Blvd. if you plan to attend this celebration of Bryan's life.
