Irene Estelle Mauck passed away on October 12, 2009 in Kingman, AZ at the age of 91. She was born on July 26, 1918 in Belleville, IL to Anthony and Irene (Dashney) Pfeffer.Irene and her husband Arthur visited Lake Havasu City in the late 60's, arriving on one of the many McCulloch flights. After purchasing property here they made Lake Havasu their home, arriving on Irene's birthday, July 26, 1969.Irene lived in Lake Havasu from 1969 to 1994, moved to Las Vegas where she lived for 10 years, then made Kingman her home from 2004 until her passing. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and while living in Lake Havasu was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Irene loved to play Bingo at the Elks and the Knights of Columbus.Irene is survived by her daughters Patricia Hose and her husband Andrew of Belleville, IL, Diane Kircher and husband Orville of Lake Havasu City, Janet Stein and her husband Joe of Kingman, AZ, Linda Grimes and her husband Jerry of Kingman, AZ, Darlene Watkins and her husband Dale of Phoenix, AZ; son, Arthur L. Mauck Jr. of San Francisco, CA; sister, Virginia Schaefer of Millstadt, IL; grandchildren, Pamela Miller, Daniel Hose, Julie Petersen, Carl Hose, Jeff Agne, Brent Kircher, Phyllis Lippers, Brenda Melodia, Joe Stein, Brad Kircher, Robert Stein, Michael Blomenkamp, Rebecca Johnson, Christopher Watkins and thirty great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Arthur L. Mauck Sr.; daughter, Estelle I. Agne; brothers, Elmer, Clarence, Joseph, Leo and Anthony Pfeffer and sisters, Edna Freidrich, Pearl Ripplinger, Dorothy Tipp and Sophie Schrantz.Visitation will be held on Sunday October 18, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Monday, October 19, 2009, 10:00 am. Father Chauncey Winkler will offer words of comfort and inspiration. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
