Obituary of Albert GEBOLYS

Albert L. Gebolys passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 81. He was born on March 7, 1928 in Muskegon, MI to Albert and Regina (Meicski) Gebolys.In June of 1947, Albert enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his county during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in June 1952 attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.Upon his return, Albert went to work for Bennett Pumps in Muskegon where he worked as a welder. Among his hobbies, were hunting and fishing on the upper peninsula of Michigan. He also enjoyed watching the football games on TV.In 2001, Albert and his wife Shirley made Lake Havasu City their home, moving from Muskegon. They were members of Our Saviour Lutheran Church.Albert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley; son, Gregory Gebolys of Fruitport, MI; daughter, Karla Vermeulen of Rothbury, MI; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
