Nancy P. Layman passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 80. She was born on May 19, 1929 in Syracuse, NY.Nancy and her husband Bill moved to Lake Havasu City 14 years ago from Syracuse. Prior to relocating here, Nancy worked for Carrier Air Conditioning in Syracuse for 16 years.Nancy was an avid bowler in the 1950's and 1960's, traveling to many tournaments. In the late 60's she took up golf, playing as much as twice a week. Nancy and Bill were also part of the Saturday evening Pinochle and crib card games at D.J.'s RV Park. Nancy was loved by many and will be deeply missed.Nancy is survived by her husband Bill as well as all the friends she made along the way.Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, 1:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Rev. Carol Sheffield will offer words of comfort and inspiration.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404 or to the Desert Hills Fire Department, 3983 London Bridge Rd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
