Obituary of Milo PARKER

Milo "Bill" Parker, 87, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 in Perris,CA; suffering from Congestive Heart Failure and Dementia. He was born on June20, 1922 in Manistique, MI; to Leonard Arzy Parker and Norma Mae (Fox) Parker.Bill was a 1940 graduate of Manistique High School in Manistique, MI. He servedin the United States Army during World War II as a M.P., traveling to many countries .On October 10, 1946, Bill married Ruth Merwin in Manistique, MI. He moved his family to California in the 1950's, and was employed with D.B. Miliken Company for 30 years as a supervisor. After retirement he spent several years living in Oregon. Then Bill returned to Manistique, MI; to retire. He enjoyed building his fish shanties to ice fish, deer hunting and also he made coin jewelry. Bill and family lived in several states; Michigan, California, Oregon, and Nevada. He moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; in 2001, and then moved to California in 2009.Bill is survived by his former wife Ruth (Merwin) Parker of Lake Havasu City, AZ; twodaughters, Jeanne (Parker) Somerville of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Mary (Parker)Mc Arthur of Alto Loma, CA; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and severalnieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Norma Parker; two sisters, Opal (Parker) La Bar and Pearl Parker; four brothers, Jay Parker, Vane Parker, Lloyd Parker and a son, Donald William Parker.A memorial service with military honors, will be scheduled at a later date at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
