Obituary of Theresia PORTERFIELD

Theresia Porterfield, 89, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Polidori House in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on November 7, 1920 in Richardton, ND; to Martin and Anna (Klemm) Lindemann. Theresia was born on a farm in North Dakota, where she lived and worked until the age of 17. The depression took the farm and they moved to the state of Washington. During WWII, Theresia met her husband, Charles, who were married for 65 years. In 1955 they moved to California with 2 sons. In 1985 they retired to Arizona. Charles passed away on September 4, 2000, and Theresia came to Lake Havasu City in October 2007 and lived at Prestige and then with her son. Theresia was Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.Theresia is survived by her sons; Patrick C. Porterfield of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Niles J. Porterfield of Mesa, AZ; sister, Margaret Breklyn of Antigo, WI; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Father Mike Ashibuogwu and Deacon John Navaretta.Condolences and thoughts can be made to her family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
