Obituary of Thomas COUGHLIN

Thomas "Mr. Tom" P. Coughlin Jr.July 27, 1937January 3, 2010Thomas P. Coughlin Jr. aka "Mr. Tom" passed away January 3, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix after a 2 year battle with Leukemia.He was born in Yonkers, New York on July 27, 1937 to Thomas P. & Anna Coughlin. He worked for Columbia University, Hudson Laboratories, Office of Naval Research where he met his wife Lorraine. They were married September 3, 1960 in Yonkers.Upon arriving in Lake Havasu he worked for McCulloch Corporation as a machinist. He retired from the school system as a Facility Service Person working at Oro Grande Elementary then transferring to Thunderbolt Middle School. After retirement he worked part time for Home Depot and the Lake Havasu City Police Department as a PSA.He is survived by his wife Lorraine Coughlin; daughter Lori Coughlin; son Thomas and his wife Diane Coughlin and 2 grandchildren Joclyn Rose and Javen Thomas.He was preceded by his parents and daughter Patricia Ann Coughlin.Tom was a member of the Elks Lodge #2399 and the Eagles Aries and also the New Yorkers of Havasu Club. He enjoyed his grandchildren and going to the Casino's betting on horses and to Gallagher's for off track betting.There will be a memorial at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Friday January 8, 2010 at 6 P.M. and a funeral mass on Saturday January 9 at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.Please consider making a donation to our Lady of the Lake Church Debt Reduction Account in memory of Tom.
