Betty L. Stewart, 79, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2010. She was born on September 11, 1930 in Compton, CA; to Turley and Thelma (Foley) Moore. Betty was a beautician in the Los Angeles area before retiring to Lake Havasu City in 2002. She loved bowling and participated in bowling leagues in Bellflower, CA., formany years, earning several awards for 200+ games. Betty also enjoyed western moviesand country music. She found the Arizona desert to be one of the most beautiful placeson earth, so when her eldest granddaughter, Colleen M. Savage and family, relocated toLake Havasu, Betty decided that would also be the perfect time for her to finally retire and move to the beautiful desert she had always dreamed of. Betty is survived by 2 daughters; Diane L. Morgan of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and Jeanette Moe of Rexburg, ID; as well as seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, plus another great grandchild on the way.Contributions can be made in Betty's name to the Alzheimer's Association, Northern Arizona Chapter, 225 Grove Ave. Suite B, Prescott, AZ. 86301Condolences and thoughts can be made to her family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
