Obituary of Luvern SCHMIDT

LuVern "Smitty" Frank Schmidt passed away January 12, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 81. He was born to George and Susian (Wengler) Schmidt on September 22, 1928 in Crow River, MN.LuVern married his best friend, Adrienne Simonds on March 22, 1952 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 20 years ago from Torrance, CA. While residing in California he was employed by Northrop Aircraft and Torrance Memorial Hospital. LuVern was a huge car enthusiast; restoring classic cars and showing off his cars at shows all over the United States. He held memberships with the Lincoln Club, T-Bird Club, Zepher Club and the Mustang Club. He also belonged to the Eagles, Elks, Moose Lodge, the N.R.A. and the Roamers RV club. LuVern will be truly missed; he was a very beloved husband, father and grandfather.LuVern leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Adrienne Schmidt; son, Brad Schmidt; daughter, Linda Schmidt; brother, Jerry Schmidt; sister, Angie Theyen; grandchildren, Brian Schmidt; daughter-in-law, Nancy Schmidt and brother-in-law, Speedy.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in LuVern's name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
