Geraldine Mae Beard passed away on January 13, 2010 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 83. She was born on January 7, 1927 in Enola, Nebraska to Olan and Mildred (Tobola) McDonald.Geraldine moved to Lake Havasu City eight years ago following the death of her husband Harry, to be closer to her sisters Phyllis and Sharon. Geraldine and Harry lived in Germany and France for several years during his 21 years of service in the military. While living overseas, Geraldine worked in the commissary. They moved back to the states, settling in California where Geraldine was a long time member of the South Gate Women's Club. She also enjoyed making jewelry with beads. Geraldine is survived by her step-son Anthony and his wife Dena Beard of Bend, OR; sisters, Phyllis Rainwater and Sharon Oberlink of Lake Havasu City and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harry who passed away in March of 2001.No services are scheduled. Interment will take place at a later date at Riverside National Cemetery with her husband, Harry.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
