Violet Mae Old passed away on January 16, 2010 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 87. Violet was born on September 16, 1922 in Los Angeles, CA to James and Nellie (Luyster) Clark.Violet spent the majority of her life in Long Beach and was recently residing in Yucca Valley, CA. She moved to Lake Havasu City one month ago. In the 1940's Violet became involved with the USO during World War II. She was deeply involved in square dancing, a hobby she enjoyed for over 20 years. As her four children were growing up she became involved as a Scout leader. During her life, she worked in banking, as a postal carrier and also as an owner of a retail store. Two years ago, Violet was baptized in Yucca Valley into the Jehovah's Witness faith.Violet is survived by her sons James R. Old and his wife Debi of Kelseyville, CA and Michael F. Old of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughters Margaret E. "Pegi" Stubblefield and her husband John and Jacqueline L. Old, both of Lake Havasu City, as well as seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.No services will be held. Interment will take place at a later date in Long Beach, CA.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
