Obituary of Roberta GORDON

Roberta Jane Gordon passed away February 6, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 90. She was born to Charles and Bessie (McDonald) Herndon on July 28, 1919 in Macomb, IL. Roberta married her beloved husband, David B. Gordon on July 15, 1949 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 23 years ago from Garden Grove, CA. She worked for the Hartford Insurance Co. in Long Beach, CA and was involved with the Insurance Women of Long Beach. Roberta was the past officer of Havasu Gem & Mineral Society, a member of the Santa Ana Gem & Mineral Society, a member of the Compton Hunting & Fishing and a past officer of the Western Welcome Society of Lake Havasu.She was preceded in death by her husband David who passed away February 14, 2002; two sisters, Lillian Janes and Bettie Condon. Roberta leaves behind her son Gary David Gordon; two daughters Gladys Ann Moore and Davienne Marie Gordon; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and her dear friend Lucille Hunter. A celebration of life will take place at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, 3:00 PM. Rev.
