Lydia Demerise Plourde, 81, passed away on February 9, 2010, in Lake Havasu City, AZ.Mrs. Plourde was born on January 3, 1929 in East Angus, Province Quebec, Canada, to Romeo and Juliette Jalbert. In 1974, she moved from California to Lake Havasu City with her husband Dennis R. Plourde, and was an employee of McCulloch Corporation for many years. Lydia served as an officer of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, was a member of the Lake Havasu Elkettes, and was very active in the community. She will be greatly missed by family and everyone who knew her. Lydia Plourde is survived by two sons, Bob Plourde (Susan) and Ray Plourde (Peggy) of Aurora, Colorado; sisters, Pauline, Denise, and Jeanine; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lydia Plourde was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis R. Plourde; parents, Romeo and Juliette Jalbert; sisters Yoland and Yougette; a brother Paul; and sons Jimmy and Donald Plourde. A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Deacon Patrick Toilolo of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church will officiate. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Lydia's name to the VFW National Home for Children, 3573 S.
