Obituary of Richard SMITH

Richard Donald Smith passed away February 24, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 65. He was born to Louis and Margaret (McKee) Smith on May 12, 1944 in Hornell, NY.Richard made Lake Havasu his home four years ago from German, NY. He was owner and instructor at Hidden Valley Archery in Smithville Flats, NY for many years. Richard was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a very warm and loving person, devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.Richard leaves behind his beloved wife, Frances Smith of Lake Havasu City, AZ; father, Louis F. Smith of Bath, NY; son, Dennis M. (Helene) Smith of Smithville Flats, NY; daughter, Darlene (Greg) Cempa of Whitney Point, NY; step-sons, Daniel (MaryAnn) Saliga and David (Joyce) Saliga; step-daughters, Joannie Clark, Jeannie (Richie) Capello and Michelle (Gil) Bernier; brother, Stephen (Vasilka) Smith of Corning, NY; sisters, Barbara (Dave) Hedges of Arkport, NY and Debbie (John) Englert of Rochester, NY and 26 grandchildren.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at First Southern Baptist Church.
