Basil (Base) Ferebee passed away on February 25, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on September 1, 1920 in Nelson, Neb.Base served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his discharge, he continued working with the Navy in Seal Beach, CA; where he met the love of his life. Base and Elayne were married in 1948. That same year they moved to Mammoth Lakes. CA and established several businesses over the years there and in Bishop, CA. In 1982 they relocated to Lake Havasu City, AZ. Base was an avid snowmobiler, fisherman, hunter and all around outdoorsman. He was a member of the Elks Lodge for 55 years. Base was a man of very few words, but full of wisdom and humor and a generous person to all who were lucky enough to know him. Base is survived by wife Elayne; daughter, Joyce of Lake Havasu City, AZ; brother, L.C. Ferebee and wife June of Cornville, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time.Donations may be given to Hospice of Lake Havasu, P.O.
