Angelina Barbara DochertyBorn: April 20, 1918 in Wakefield, MADied: March 4, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZAfter a sudden and brief illness, Angie Docherty passed away to join her loved ones in heaven. Angie was preceded in death by her father, Camillo Sylvestri; mother, Nicoletta Iezzi, and brother, John Sylvestri. Angie's life was blessed with two beloved husbands. Her first husband, Anthony Carbone, passed away at a young age. Angie then married James Docherty and enjoyed 51 years in a loving marriage and together they raised three children. Jim passed away in 2006.Angie is survived by her son Tom Docherty of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and daughters Debbie Docherty of Corbett, OR and Jeanne Nestle of Tahoe Vista, CA. Angie also leaves behind four grandchildren, Brian Docherty of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Shaun Docherty of Loma Linda, CA, and Serena Vigg and Evelyn Vigg of Corbett, OR. Angie is also survived by her sister, Mary Mattagno of Seven Lakes, NC.Angie lived a very full life, with most of it dedicated to her role as the homemaker for her family. Before marrying James Docherty, she owned and managed a beauty salon and was a skilled beautician. She was also a talented cook and seamstress. She provided a warm and loving environment for her family and will always be remembered for her kind and gentle nature as well as her exceptional Italian cooking.Although Angie was close to her 92nd birthday when she passed, she led an active lifestyle until the end. She enjoyed early morning walks on the walking trails at Lake Havasu with her friends. Other favorite activities included card games, casino trips and visits with family and friends.Angie was a humble, sweet and gentle person who could easily laugh at her own perceived faults, yet she always saw only the best in others.
