Wilma Alice Rehnberg Ireland went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on August 25, 1918.Wilma said "For just a little farm girl from Gosper County, Nebraska, I got to see a lot of things and do a lot of things."Wilma lived in Tokyo, Japan; Ogden, Kansas, Waipahu, Hawaii and Ft. Huachuca and Phoenix, Arizona, where she developed a love of the desert. Wilma loved her Lord, husband and family. She also enjoyed camping and hiking in the Chiricahua Mountains and backpacking the trails of the Grand Canyon.Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Erin L. "Sam" Ireland, of 64 years, whom she married on May 14, 1939. She is survived by her brother, Blair (Georgie), 5 children; Erin L. "Chris" Jr., (Virginia), Damaris Huddle, (Gideon) Colin, (Honora), Stacia (Jo Nell Evans), Shannon Nafsey, (James); 7 grandchildren, Candy, Kristi, Jennifer, Shawn, Lisa, James, Damaris, and 8 great grandchildren, Kaitlin, Annie Grace, Amelia, Ethan, Davis, Jack, Keala and Heath.Her family would like to say "Thank You" to the people of Casa Grande House and Hospice of Havasu for the care our Mom received.Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 1605 S. McCulloch Blvd. Lake Havasu City, AZ; on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. Words of comfort and inspiration will be expressed by Pastor Harry Stamper."We know she is face to face with Jesus, reunited with Dad, somewhere on the Bright Angel Trail roaming free."In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund or your favorite charity.Condolences and thoughts can be made to her family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
