John Curtis Dumont Jr. passed away April 6, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 90. He was born to John and Medora (White) Dumont on November 11, 1919 in Providence, R.I.John moved to Lake Havasu 23 years ago from Coventry, R.I. with his late wife of 56 years, Irene E Dumont. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War 11 on the U.S.S Buckley, D.E. 51. He worked for Mays Manufacturing in Warwick, R.I. for 42 years as a plant manager. He loved the mountains, the lake and his beloved Havasu. John was a member of the Eagles and American Legion. John leaves behind his two sons, John C. Dumont III and his wife Katherine, Bobby Dumont and his companion Bettina Matakiewicz, daughters Donna Lee Silva and her husband Ron, Bette McJunken and her husband Alton. He also leaves his loving companion Jean Hollenbach. He will also be dearly missed by his twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. John will always be remembered for being a great father and a loving friend.A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010, 10:30 am at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
