Donald Eugene BybeeMay 3, 1927April 20, 2010Donald E. Bybee, 82, passed on April 20 at the Serenity House in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Donald was born on May 3, 1927, in Fairview, Illinois, to father Fay Frederick Bybee, and mother Ruth May (Witherall) Bybee of Canton, Illinois.Don lived most of his life in Canton, Illinois. Don served his country proudly during WWII under the direction of the United States Navey. Don moved out West with his only son, David, to Lake Havasu City during the final months battling health issues. Don was a graduate of Canton High School, Bradley University and earned a Masters Degreefrom Western Illinois University. Don was a Regional Manager of the Illinois Employment and Unemployment Services until retirement in December 1987. Don was also an instructor of Economics at Spoon River College. Don loved life, enjoying golf, ballroom dancing, hunting and was a member Of many clubs; Moose, V.F.W., Elks, Masons, Country Club, Christian Motorcycle Association and lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Canton.Don was loved and will be deeply missed by his son, Dr. David E. Bybee (Pastor of community Presbyterian Church in Lake Havasu) and many friends. He leaves behind his son David E. Bybee (Heidi); brother Ronald T. Bybee (Dorothy); sister Betty Viano, (John); three grandchildren, David Bybee, Rita and Tarmin Bybee; nephews, Edward Viano, Lewis Viano and Chester Viano; nieces, Diana Viano and Deana Viano.A memorial service in celebration of Donald's life will be held on July 28, 2010 at 10:30am. at Canton First Christian Church.Memorials may be sent to First Christian Church of Canton.Condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com
