Helen Ruth Gilbert passed away May 22, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 92. She was born to James and Fannie May (Hern) Wilson on January 21, 1918 in Huntsville, MO.Helen married her best friend Stanley Gilbert in 1958 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 23 years ago from Ontario, CA. She worked for McDonald Department Store in Pomona, CA for 10 years. While residing in California she was a very active member with the First Christian Church in Pomona. Helen enjoyed playing cards, doing community service work and sewing. She belonged to TOPS, Chi Rho Chapter of E.S.A. International and the Hospital Auxiliary.Helen's love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will live on forever with all of them. She leaves behind her beloved children, Pat (Lloyd) Wells of Lake Havasu, Joanne (Tom) Del Nero of Etiwanda, CA; grandchildren, Scott (Sherry) Wells, Dean (Susan) Wells, Jim (Vanessa) Del Nero, Ryan Del Nero, Kelsey Del Nero, Nancy Valletta, Diane (Brian) Collins and Eric (Michelle) Gilbert; great grandchildren, Ben, Lacey, Eli, Jeana, Tim, Stephanie, Izzy, Leah, Michael, Lisa and Brian and great-great grandchildren, Lily, Bailey, Dillon and Caley.She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Stanley Gilbert.A visitation will be held Friday, May 28, 2010, 2:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Following the visitation, funeral services will begin at 3:00 with Pastor Mike Moorhead offering words of comfort and inspiration. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn in Covina, CA.
