Obituary of William GUNNELL

William Young (Bill) Gunnell passed away on May 24, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ following surgery. Bill was born in Logan, Utah on April 20, 1936; he was the son of Bernice and Howard Johnson.Bill was raised in Benson, Utah and graduated from North Cache High School after which he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he was stationed on the aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Wasp. After an honorable discharge from the Navy he moved to California where he owned several wholesale lumber companies. After many years of traveling back and forth from California to Lake Havasu to be with his family, Bill retired in 2007.Bill is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Marilynn (Jensen) Gunnell; Son Marty Gunnell (LueAnn) of La Habra, CA and grandchildren Christopher Gunnell, Jen Mickelson (Scott), Jessica Gunnell, and Kirsten Gunnell; Son Steven Gunnell (Judy), of San Diego, CA; Grandchildren Tyler Gunnell (Clarrissa), Jamie Gunnell, and Great Grandson Dylan Tyler Gunnell; Daughter Wendi Hayden (Dan) of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Grandchildren Clayton Hayden, Dallon Hayden, and M'Lyn Hayden; Son Gary Gunnell (Hiroe) of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Grandchildren Leah Gunnell, James Gunnell and Noah Gunnell; Son William (Billy) Gunnell and mother-in-law Betty Jensen. A viewing will be held at the LDS Church 504 N. Acoma, Lake Havasu City, AZ on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
