Megan Melissa Aikins passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 17 following a courageous year long battle with cancer. Megan was born on July 15, 1992, in Riverside, CA to James Wolfe and Christina Aikins.Megan and her family moved to Lake Havasu City four years ago from Riverside, CA. Megan attended Lake Havasu High School and graduated last month with the Class of 2010. She enjoyed exercising, walking her dog and just hanging with her friends. Megan was an inspiration to her family and all who knew her and will be deeply missed.Megan is survived by her mother Christina Wells and her adoptive father Jeff Wells of Lake Havasu City, her father James Wolfe of Elwood City, PA; brothers Ryan Keith of Torrance, CA; Ronald Aikins of Lancaster, CA; and Jeffery Wells Jr. of Lake Havasu City.A celebration of Megan's life will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., at Lakeview Community Church with Youth Pastor Chris Harper offering words of comfort and inspiration. A benefit dinner will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1516 Marlboro Drive to assist the family with medical and funeral expenses.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com
