Obituary of Joey HEREDERO

Joey Daniel Roy Heredero went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica , CA at the age of 22 following a one year four month battle with Osteosarcoma. Joey was born on June 30, 1987 in Tarzana, CA to Joe and Linda (Marinussen) Heredero. Joey and his family moved to Lake Havasu City nine years ago from Winnetka, CA . He worked at Mohave Community College as a Computer Tech and attended school there for the past three years, pursuing a career in computers. He was into drawing, playing computer games, all types of water sports and restoring his 1981 Trans Am. He was also an avid Lakers Fan, cheering on his team during his many hospital stays. During his illness, Joey endured many treatments and operations, yet never complained. He had a smile that lit up the room, and an encouraging word for everyone He was very much loved and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Joey is survived by his parents Joe and Linda Heredero of Lake Havasu City; sister Desiree Keller and her husband Roger of Yuma, AZ and Rhiannon Heredero of Lake Havasu City, AZ; grandparents Victor and Edith Marinussen of Fort Mohave, AZ and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of Joey's life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Lakeview Community Church with Pastor Ray Carter offering words of comfort and inspiration.
