Ronald "Ron" Salisbury, 76, passed away June 14, 2010 in Lake Havasu City with his wife and daughter by his side. Ron was born to James Salisbury Sr. and Helen (MacDonald) Salisbury on November 1, 1933 in Jersey City, NJ. The family moved to Southern California in the mid-1940's.Ron was a commercial truck driver for the Los Angeles Board of Education, I.M.L. Freight and Lucky's Grocery Stores. He drove trucks for 37 accident-free years, something of which he was very proud and for which he received many pins and commendations.Ron married his wife of 42 years, Annette (La Croix) Salisbury on July 2, 1967. They made Huntington Beach, CA their home for 32 years before retiring to Lake Havasu City in 2000. Ron was a member of the Masonic Lodge and recently received his 50 year pin and certificate.Ron's hobbies included camping, wood working, attending gun shows, military history and movies from the 1920's - 1950's.Ron is survived by his wife, Annette Salisbury of Lake Havasu City; his daughter Andrea Salisbury of Lake Havasu City; his step-son Gary Deal of Ensign, KS and his beloved German Shepherd, Rocky.Ron was preceded in death by his older brother James Salisbury, Jr. who was killed in action in Korea and his mother and father.Per Ron's request, there will be no funeral services.
