Obituary of Richard Joseph Gottard

Richard Joseph Gottard, 76, passed away on November 24, 2015 in Parker, AZ. He was born in Pittsburg, PA on January 21, 1939. In 1941, he was adopted by Letha Mae and Rene John Gottard and grew up in Terre Haute, IN. He was wed to Pamela Johnson Gottard on August 26, 1979 at the First Lutheran Church in Geneseo, Illinois; they were married for 36 years. Richard was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and participated in cowboy action shooting. He enjoyed boating and was a member of SASS (Single Action Shooting Society). He also loved traveling with his wife, especially cruising. The couple celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on a cruise of the Mediterranean. He was called to active duty in the U.S. Air Force during the Berlin Crisis. Richard is survived by his wife, Pamela Gottard of Lake Havasu City, AZ; son, Michael Gottardi (Jennifer) of Aubrey, TX; daughters, Cheryl Bain of Rancho Cordova, CA, Margaret Gottard of Antigo, WI and 4 grandchildren. Mass will be celebrated in Terre Haute, IN, a private family memorial will be held in Texas, and a celebration of life will be held in Lake Havasu at a future date.
