Juanita "Nita" Tabor Spencer left this earthly life to enter the Kingdom of the Lord and be reunited with her family on June 19, 2010.Nita was born on February 18, 1920 in the town of May, Harper County, Oklahoma to Samuel and Nellie Tabor. She was one of seven children.Nita was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Telephone Pioneers, charter member of the Havasu Stitchers, and a member of the Hilltop Quilters Friendship Group.Nita was creative, giving, farmer's daughter, a great cook, a terrific friend, soda jerk, ceramic designer, craft lover, slot player, community volunteer, quilting queen, telephone supervisor extraordinaire, Sooner, charming hostess, caring wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.Juanita is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Harold Spencer, daughter Carol Rutherford of American Canyon, CA; sons Robert Spencer of Simpsonville, S.C.; John Spencer of Laguna Hills, CA; and Gerald Spencer of Corona, CA; sister Wanda Kephart of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren Jennifer, Sheron, Terry, Gary, Kathy, Michelle, James and David. Great grandchildren Monique, Greg, Brandon, Charles, Alicia, Amanda, Timothy, Andrew, Cassandra, Samantha, Christian, Brittney, Sage, Kayla and Jamie; great great grandchildren Rylin, Kingston and Paige and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by sons Lynn Gregory and H. LeRoy Spencer Jr.; grandchildren; Sammie Nell Rutherford, H. Allen Rutherford Jr. and Phillip Bruce Rutherford; sisters Sybil Horton and Barbara Lee Nixon and brothers Cecil Tabor, Earl Tabor and Louis Tabor.Visitation for Nita will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Interment will take place on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 1:30 pm, at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. Memorial services will be held on the following Thursday, July 1, 2010, at 10:00 am, at the First Southern Baptist Church.
