Sandra Kay Carter passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 19, 2010 at the age of 65. She was born on August 31, 1944 in Skellytown, TX to Frank and Allie Allen.Sandra and her husband Ken moved to Lake Havasu City in 2001 and worked for Interagency of Lake Havasu for the past five years as an administrative assistant in charge of Respite House. Prior to moving to Lake Havasu City she worked for AT&T in California for over 20 years.Sandra's hobbies included gardening, tending to the many beautiful hummingbirds and roadrunners who visited their home and collecting barnyard memorabilia.Sandra always believed that it was not the destination in the journey of life that mattered but the journey itself.Sandra is survived by her husband of 46 years Kenneth and sons, Wade and Eric, all of Lake Havasu City; sister Charlet Geopfert and brother Jimmie Allen of Amarillo, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Allie, sister Peggy and brother Junior.Per Sandra's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, Sandra's wish was for donations to be made to Interagency of Lake Havasu for Respite House, 1940 Mesquite Ave., Ste.
