LISELOTTE (LOTTE) HAMM 4/27/1936 - 6/25/2014 Liselotte (Lotte) Hamm passed away on June 25, 2014 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 78. She was born on April 27, 1936 to Johann & Ottilie Finsterwalder in Bad Toelz, Germany. Liselotte, known as Lotte by her family and friends, married Harry Hamm, a member of the US Armed Forces, immigrated with him to Utica, N.Y., where her only child, April Hamm was born. Her husband was killed in Vietnam, and it fell to her to raise her daughter. After moving to Lake Havasu in 1988, her daughter was afflicted with a brain tumor, and as a result of this, she became paralyzed and wheel-chair bound. Her mother took unfailing good care of her for the last 20 years of her life. She was an extremely devoted mother and a devoted daughter to her mother, whom she brought to the US in the 1990's. Lotte is survived by her beloved daughter, April; her partner in life, Joseph Squillace; her older brother, Hans Finsterwalder and his wife Ann; her younger sister, Hilde Dampier and her husband Richard; 3 nephews and 2 nieces. She fought a valiant battle against cancer. We pray that she rests in peace. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for her at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church officiated by Father Chauncey Winkler on August 18, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Thoughts and condolences can be sent to Lotte's family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
