FRED ADDINGTONDEC. 20, 1948 —SEPT. 3, 2010Fred Addington, 61 years old, of Lake H a v a s u C i t y, passed at his reside n c e Sept. 3. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and proudly served during the Vietnam War as a sniper in the 9th Infantry Division. He worked as a locomotive engineer for the BNSF Railway out of Needles, Calif., and retired after 41 years and is an honorary lifetime member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He was a proud Riffian from the Barstow High School class of 1967. He was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Polly Addington. He is survived by his oldest son, Ryan Addington and his family — fiancé, Michelle Pulliam and their children, Gavin and Rylie; his only daughter, Alison Addington and her partner, Jason Thrasher; his youngest son, Christopher Addington and his wife, Jacqueline; his sister, Mary Meek and her children, William and Carlyn; his cousin, Charlotte Porter and family; his ex-wife, friend, and mother of his three children, Susie Anderson; his mother-in-law, Jane Eddy; life-long friends, Goodie and Jim; special friend, Linda; and countless other devoted family members and friends. Services will be by and for the family in a private setting. Fred's family requests that friends remember him in the most appropriate way, with a good-time rock 'n roll gathering of their own. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made in Fred's name to the VFW, Lake Havasu City.
