Obituary of Charles Edwad Scoggins

Charles Scoggins Sr. went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Feb. 11, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda; daughters, Opal (Mark) Beard and Rhonda Hisle; son, Charles Scoggins Jr; grandchildren, Christopher (Kathy) Beard, Stephanie (Nick) Larson, Ric Hisle, Ryan Hisle and Cheyenne Scoggins; great-grandchildren, Thomas Beard, Hannah Larson and Ian Larson; his mother, Sabra Pierce; brother, Austin Scoggins; and sister, Francis Wheeler. He is preceded in death by his father, Gilford Scoggins; grandson, Jeremy Beard; brother, Columbus Scoggins; sister, Sible Owens; and brother, James Scoggins. He is a Marine Corps Veteran. A elebration of his life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at his home church, Calvary Baptist Church, 3575 Shaeffer Ave.
