Freddie Giomi Jr., 44 of Lake Havasu City, passed away September 28, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nevada.He was born May 14, 1966 in Yerington, Nevada to Fred and Sandra Giomi. At age 5, the family moved to Colorado and made it their home. Freddie attended elementary school in New Castle, CO and graduated from Rifle High School in Rifle, CO., in 1984. He joined the U.S. Navy in the winter of 1984 and was deployed on the USS America. He was retired from the Navy in 1991. Freddie fished for Alaskan Salmon commercially for one season. He met his wife in Colorado and moved to Lake Havasu in 1997, where he was the owner of Desert High Painting.Freddie enjoyed elk hunting, fishing, and an active outdoor lifestyle. He enjoyed working on cars for friends and family, and especially on his prized Ford Bronco. He had a passion for Military history and took great pride in his native American heritage. Freddie had a sharp and engaging sense of humor that drew people to him and a laugh that no one will ever forget. Most of all, he loved his family and friends very much.Freddie is survived by his wife, Vicki Giomi; daughter Keriah Giomi, step-daughter Kymberly Popp, and granddaughter Annabelle, all of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; daughter Shauntae (Stephen) Schaetzle, son Michael Giomi, and granddaughter Lilyannah, all of Colorado Springs, CO., parents Sandy and Fred Giomi of Lake Havasu City), sister Staci Giomi of Arvada, CO; brother Tommy Giomi of Arvado, CO; niece Christie Gray of Lake Havasu City, niece Amber Gray, Thornton, CO, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends.A celebration of life will be held Monday, October 4, 2010, 2:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
