F. Allen Campbell lost his battle with Alzheimer's at home with his family in Lake Havasu City, AZ on Wednesday, October 20, 2010. He was born in Long Beach, CA to Robert Campbell and Virginia Holte on October 28, 1940. Allen was active in his church, the theater and the swim team at Millikan High School in Long Beach, CA. He helped operate the family restaurant, Campbell's Chicken. Allen moved to Huntington Beach, CA and began working in the construction field as a framing carpenter. He built the Huntington Beach Playhouse where he performed and sang in many plays. He relocated to San Diego where he partnered in Campbell Brother's Construction Co., working with and sharing his skills with his many friends and family members. They built many housing projects in the area. He took his love of building to Victorville, CA where he continued developing numerous commercial and residential projects. He built the Church of Christ in Hesperia for and with his father. Allen moved to Oakland, OR where he worked his ranch raising many animals and continuing to build. In 1990, Allen partnered with his best friend Glenn Gavagan, and together they developed The Centre Development located across from the airport, on the north end of Lake Havasu City, AZ. Home Depot, the Shops at Lake Havasu and Anderson Toyota are a few of the businesses operating at the regional Centre. Allen relocated to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1998 to work closer with Glenn on the project. He soon met the love of his life, Debi Carson-Blundell whom he married. The two became inseparable. He started Fleary Construction Company and built many homes and commercial projects. Allen loved to sing and enjoyed working in many of the Mohave Community College theatre productions with Grace Ann. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. Allen loved his family, friends, fast cars, animals, traveling, camping in the RV, riding quads, flying airplanes and then jumping out of those perfectly good airplanes. He played hard but worked harder.Allen is survived by his wife Debi Campbell; his children Debbie Lupton and her husband John of San Diego, CA; Ronda Campbell of San Diego, CA; Breanna Roberts and her husband Jay of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Aaron Blundell of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and Kristal Blundell-Pruett of Lake Havasu City, AZ; grandchildren John and Sharayah Lupton of San Diego, CA; Trenton and Trystan Blundell, Dagen Schumann and Paige Pruett all of Lake Havasu City, AZ; siblings Bob Campbell and his wife Linda, Evalene Best and her husband Dick, Gaylene Mello and her husband Ron, Barbara Hill and her husband Ray, Cheryl Burnett, Danny Campbell, Modena Castleman, Ron Harmon and his wife Bonnie, Judy Holmquist and her husband Steve, Tom Harmon, Larry Thomas and his wife Karen, Terri Gilbert, Marsha Thomas and several cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous lifelong friends.Services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Arts Live Main Street Theatre, 2146 N McCulloch Blvd, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403. Allen's brother-in-law, Pastor Dick Best will offer words of comfort and inspiration. Internment to follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, 1698 Deer Run Drive. A celebration of Allen's life to follow at Shugrue's bridgeview room, 1425 McCulloch Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in honor of his love of arts to Grace Arts Live Theatre, 2146 N McCulloch Blvd, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403, Hospice of Havasu, P.O.
