Obituary of Anna AZZATO

Anna Marie Azzato passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 96. She was born on September 8, 1914 in Bari, Italy to Pasquale and Madeline Desimini.At the age of 6 years old, Anna and her family came to the United States. Her family lived in New York where her father worked as a tailor. In 1950, Anna married Joseph Raia. Together they had a son Frank Raia and were happily married until his passing in 1977.In 1981, Anna married Joseph Azzato, a co-worker she met at Vernitron in Bay Shore, New York where she worked as a parts inspector. They were married until he passed away in 1999.In 2004, Anna moved to Lake Havasu City to be near her son Frank. Among her many hobbies were craftwork, primarily knitting and crocheting doilies.Anna is survived by her son Frank Raia and his wife Diane and grandchildren Grace Hopkins of Oklahoma, Daniel Raia of Japan and Anne Marie Raia-Pierce of Oklahoma.Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
