Obituary of Lois KNIGHT
Please share a memory of Lois to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
In loving memory of an extraordinary woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Lois Joyce Knight passed away early Monday morning, November 15, 2010 in the arms of her loving daughter. She was born February 3, 1935 in Minnesota to Gus and Vera Nelson. Lois was one of five children, a sister to, Bobby, Dorothy, Lorraine and Basil. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Knight; her daughter Terry and her son Herb; her 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Jackie, Blake and Nicole and her 3 great grandchildren, Percy, Ellie and Kalea.Lois was a "Camper Extraordinaire" with the amazing ability to pitch a tent for 10 kids, fully equipped with heaters and televisions in less than an hour while also preparing a full Thanksgiving dinner in the motor home! She was a professional garage seller, a Bingo fanatic (when she was winning), a Garfield Guru, a master at creating delicious recipes, a hardcore Wheel of Fortune fan, and an expert in steering boats with children towing behind on water ski's. She was always the life of the party and of course wearing one of her wonderful red ensembles. Those who knew Lois well knew her as the ultimate entertainer. There was no party theme she couldn't master and no decoration she couldn't hang. She was a strong woman who protected her family from the dangers of the world (unless one of the dangers were skunks, bee's, or thunder - in this case you were on your own)! Lois is known as "Grandma Lois" by everyone not just her grandchildren. We love and miss you, "Graham Cracker". Thank you for the life we have because of you.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
