Obituary of Thomas BATEMAN

Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Thomas L. BatemanMay 30, 1961 - November 26, 2010Brothers and SistersI am disheartened to inform everyone, that we have lost a extraordinary person on November 26, 2010. To all who called him friend "Coyote" will be truly missed. Tom "Coyote" Bateman has been an icon in the Motorcycle community through out all of Arizona. As a Road Captain with the Red Iron Brotherhood MC and the Eagle Riders he safely lead many on several journeys all across Arizona and as an A.B.A.T.E. PAC officer you can be sure that any news as to our rights and safety was always passed on. Coyote was also a member of many Motorcycle Riding Organizations; basically, you could say riding was is life. His 2008 FLTHC bought new, had 60,000 miles on it. Coyote was also a civic minded person belonging to the PGR, Eagles and Moose. As a person Coyote was always lively and surprisingly different. His approach to life was as unorthodox as some of his remarks. He was never anything else than blunt and to the point and if a person didn't like him, they didn't know him. As strong as he would sound, once you talked with him you would see a very caring soul with no time for arrogance. Coyote was a secret family man also with 2 sons and a daughter. Whether you be friend or Family he will be missed and his memory will travel with all of us as we ride and our memories will keep him alive in our hearts. God has called him for his personal Road Captain and all we can say is "RIDE LIKE THE WIND BROTHER "Coyote was born on May 30, 1961 in Elgin, IL. Besides his love for motorcycles, he enjoyed discussing politics and spending time with his family and friends. He leaves behind his beloved family, father, Thomas L. Bateman Sr. (Merry) of Round Lake, IL and mother Elaine R. Schell (Bob) of Lamar, CO; two sons, Thomas L. Bateman II of Springfield, CO and Robert A. Bateman serving in Germany; daughter Christine A. LeBaron; brother Glenn Bell; sisters, Darlene Manning of Texas and Kathy Badie of Florida and one grandson, Camrin.A visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to go to A.B.A.T.E.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
