Albert J. "Abbie" Englert Sr. of Lake Havasu City, AZ, formally of Columbia, PA, died Thursday, December 2, at his home after an illness of 3 ½ years. He was born in Allentown, PA on November 14, 1927, of the late William F. and Florence Liseman Englert Sr.He married his beloved bride, Elaine A. (Hess) Englert on December 31, 63 years ago. Abbie was self employed, owner of the Sound Bank Inc. store of Lake Havasu City and formally of Englert's Garage, of Columbia, PA. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church.Besides his wife, he will be much loved and missed by his six sons, Albert J. "Abbie" Jr. and his wife, Annie of Lake Havasu City, Gerald "Jerry" R. of Colorado, Michael "Mike" W. of North Carolina, Douglas "Doug" C. and his wife Mary Ann of Kingman, R. "Keith" and wife Kim of Lake Havasu City and David L. of San Diego, CA. He was one of six; sister Marian, brother Thomas and his wife Betty; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, six step grandchildren, thirteen step great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild.He was preceded in death by his three brothers William "Bill" Jr., Robert and Ralph, all of Pennsylvania.He was a very loving husband and father. Abbie enjoyed working in the yard and walking and was a very generous person. Any contributions sent to Hospice of Havasu in memory of him would be deeply appreciated.
