Obituary of Clyde HATHAWAY

Clyde E. Hathaway passed away December 11, 2010 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 82. He was born to William and Arvilla (Mayfield) Hathaway on September 6, 1928 in Florence, CO.Clyde was a veteran of the United State Navy from 1946 to 1948. On November 12, 1948, Clyde married his beloved bride Joyce Wren in Raton, NM. From Pueblo, CO, they moved to California in 1952, living in Los Angeles, and La Mirada. When living in La Mirada he coached little league and worked at Southeast Parks and Recreation, both in Norwalk and La Mirada. In 1983 he retired as supervisor over the Parks district. He dearly loved to decorate for Christmas; the house in La Mirada won prizes for best decorated. They lived there for 53 years. He and Joyce lost their son, Stephen in 2005 to Muscular Dystrophy. Stephen died at the age of 53 and has been dearly missed ever since. Following the sale of their house in La Mirada they came to Lake Havasu to live. He loved the mountains and the lake. He went out on the lake with family and friends on their pontoon boat, which he enjoyed to the fullest.
