Obituary of Louis CHAVEZ

Louis Alex Chavez passed away December 12, 2010 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 79. He was born to Pablo and Annie (Bargas) Chavez on June 16, 1931 in Raton, NM.Louis served under direction of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Donna Lyons on June 6, 1999. He liked watching TV and traveling. His best trip ever was his trip back to his childhood home in Raton, NM. Louis was very much a family man and loved spending time with family and friends.Louis leaves behind his wife of 11 years, Donna Lyons-Chavez of Lake Havasu; sons, Eddie Chavez of Lake Havasu and Danny Chavez of Monroe, NC; step-son David Lyons of Lake Havasu; step daughter Margaret Krick of Quincy, MI and Lisa Teller of Quincy, MI; brothers Elias Chavez of Taos, NM, Ernest Chavez of Hayward, CA and Pablo Chavez Jr. of Walnut Creek, CA; sister Lora Romero of California; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.A visitation will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010, 4:00 PM followed by the Celebration of Louis' life at 5:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Pastor Chris Harper will offer words of comfort and inspiration.
