Howard Weldon Donaldson (Don), 84, passed away on December 3, 2015 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to James and Doris Donaldson on October 5, 1931 in Fairmont, OK. He was wed to Doreen Donaldson in Las Vegas, NV. Before moving to Lake Havasu City in 1974, Don owned and operated a ski boat manufacturing company. He liked boating and enjoyed the benefits of living in Lake Havasu City. He was a strong man who survived cancer despite the odds. He was willing to take his chances 50 years ago with a new innovative surgery and he won the battle. He was a Korean War Combat Veteran having served as a Tank Commander in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of VFW and the American Legion. Don is survived by his son, Dan Donaldson (Christi) of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter, DeNay Capps; brother, Wayne Donaldson of Moore, OK; sister, Joyce Pralle (Wendell) of Enid, OK. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doreen Donaldson and son, Kenny Donaldson. He knew many people and made many friends. He will be missed. The family will have a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
