Jury Utkin passed away January 2, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born in Riga, Latvia to Nicholas and Vera (Van Oern) Utkin on January 4, 1924.Jury married his beloved bride Linde Quell on January 14, 1950 and together they came to the United States in 1952 from Europe, moving to Chicago, IL. In 1966 they packed up the family and moved to Lake Havasu City. He worked for McCulloch Corp retiring after 30 years of service. He was a volunteer fireman in Havasu's first fire department. He also served 30 years with the Coast Guard Auxiliary and several times, he was elected as commander. Jury was also one of the instructors for the Safe Boating course.Jury leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Linde Utkin; two sons Alex Utkin and his wife Lynne and Peter Utkin and his wife Janene; daughter Irene Reinhold; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011, 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr. Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
